Bill Cosby and the TI-99 Computer – This Is The One

1980s, Computers and Technology 0 734

Hey, what do Texas Instruments and Bill Cosby have in common?

Nothing, really, except this commercial endorsement and the reality of a sad future: one as the brand of dreaded calculator you had to buy for Advanced Algebra and Physics class, the other for…. well, just poke your head out and read the news carved into the rock you’re living under.

In the glory days of Cosby, he was a trusted character for endorsing many well-known products like Coke, Jello, Ford, Kodak, and these Texas Instruments computers.

(On a side note, in these pre-Windows days, it really was one of the best PCs out there.)
