Do the Pac Man – Pac Man Cereal

1980s, Atari, Cereal, Food, Video Games 1 103

What is clearly Mickey Mouse Club inspired choreography and a catchy jingle was “rad” enough for the coolest kids on the block to “Do the Pac Man” This commercial takes the cake for 80’s cheese. But this isn’t about cake and cheese, it’s about cereal and video games.

This cereal appears to be a rendition of Lucky Charms, with Pac Man pieces and pellets mixed in with colorful variety of sugar-filled ghost shaped marshmellows. It was first produced in 1983 by General Mills, when games weren’t too engrossing to spend your time dancing and singing about games when you weren’t pumping quarters into them at the arcade.
